Wallace Eugene Anderson, 91, of Pillager, MN, passed away on February 16, 2025, in Pillager. He was born on January 4, 1934, to Charles and Mary (LeLaCheur) Anderson in Dunning, NE.
Wally had a long career as a field representative for Super-Valu, where he worked for 25 years. He married Marlene Clark on October 1, 1955, and together they built a family filled with love and support. Wally was a man who deeply enjoyed the outdoors, with hunting and fishing being among his greatest passions. Wally’s dedication to serving others was shown through his 25 years serving as a Royal Ranger Leader, mentoring and guiding young boys, and he was an active member of the Frontiersmen (now Fellowship), a camping fraternity that further fueled his love for nature and service.
Wally’s legacy lives on in his children, Rona (Ron) Koch of New Stanton, PA; Dave Anderson of Pillager, MN; Valerie Graves of Lakeville, MN; and Veronica (Kevin) Taylor of Marquette, MI. He was also the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren. His sister, Karla DeRose of Rockford, IL, also survives him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marlene Anderson; his parents, Charles and Mary Anderson; his step mother Eva Anderson; his brothers, Marvin and Kenneth Anderson; his sisters, Charlene Myhre and an infant sister; son in law Kevin Graves; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Graves.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Staples Assembly of God Church in Staples, MN. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. Lunch will be served following the service. Burial will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager, MN.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
The family is grateful for the many years they had with Wally, whose life will be cherished in their hearts forever.
