Wallace Capala, a beloved member of the Livingston community, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025. Born on July 1, 1942, Wallace was known for her generous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering faith.
A devoted member of The Shrine of St. Jude’s Thaddeus in Livingston, Wallace gave her time and talents to both her parish and several local organizations. She was a faithful servant and a joyful presence, always ready to help, encourage, and brighten someone's day.
Wallace loved the simple joys of life. She cherished time spent playing bunko with friends, tending to her beautiful garden, and cooking for those she loved. Her famous lumpia was a favorite at countless gatherings, shared with joy and generosity. Her kindness, humor, and hospitality made her a friend to all who met her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felicianco Capala, with whom she shared many wonderful years. She is survived by her dearest friend, JoAnn Mires, and the Mires family, who held her close in their hearts.
A Rosary and Mass will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Jude’s Thaddeus in Livingston, California. Burial will follow at Winton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Wallace's name to The Shrine of St. Jude’s Thaddeus or to a charity of your choice.
Wallace's legacy of faith, friendship, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who had the joy of knowing her.

So truly saddened to learn of Manang Wallace's passing she and her late husband Manong Ciano were our family friends. I have fond memories of them. In the past few years when I would see her she always had a smile and kiss for me. May she Rest in Peace.
