Walling Beecher, 82, passed away on November 14, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows in Vidalia, Georgia under the care of Community Hospice. He was born on November 25, 1940, in Reidsville, Georgia to Morgan Colquitt and Clara Mae Bowen Beecher and lived there all of his life.
Walling led a remarkable lived life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He was a truck driver for Wooten Trucking and several other esteemed companies and truly enjoyed his work, loving every minute. He was known as "One Way" on the CB radio, Walling's CB handle reflected his strong-willed nature. He had a unique perspective on life and was known for doing things his way – an attribute that endeared him to many. In addition to his trucking career, Walling also served as a newspaper delivery person with Atlanta Coastal Couriers.
Walling loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His children will always cherish the memories of their father actively participating in their lives and wholeheartedly supporting their endeavors.
Apart from his work and loving familial role, Walling Beecher will be remembered for his giving nature and sense of humor. He possessed an innate kindness that extended to everyone he encountered. Walling was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Outside of work and family obligations, Walling enjoyed one-of-a-kind treasures found at yard sales and estate sales – going thrifting became one of his cherished hobbies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dewayne Beecher, siblings, Morgan Beecher, Charles Beecher, Wilmer Beecher and Faye Hart.

K-9 companion, Sweat Pea, several nieces, nephews and other relative also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 20, 2023 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Reidsville City Cemetery.
