June M. Shepard Beecher, age 72, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her home. Born in Chambersburg, PA on June 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James V. Shepard, Jr. and Betty J. Daywalt Shepard.
June was a 1970 graduate of Gettysburg High School. She was employed as a CNA at South Mountain Restoration Center for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed reading, family time, her animals, and crocheting.
Surviving are four siblings, James V. Shepard III (wife Linda) of South Mountain, PA, Sara Bleecher (husband Donnie) of Lancaster, PA, Laura Wagaman of Winchester, VA, and William Shepard of Biglerville, PA; a niece, Amy Smetzer (husband Ed Richardson) of Fayetteville, PA and their children, with whom she lived; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Beecher in 2002 and three siblings, Louise Smetzer, Linda Shepard, and Mary Daywalt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Chaplain Brian Ladiny will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered on her page at www.geiselfuneralhome.com.
