Walter Andrews Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burden's Funeral Home - Griffin on Dec. 7, 2025.
Mr. Walter Lee Andrews, Jr., was born on August 30, 1979, to Walter Lee Andrews, Sr., and Beverly Rena Taylor in Griffin Spalding County, Georgia. Walter received his formal education at Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia.

Walter accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and attended Spring Hill Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia.

Walter Lee never married, but he has a very special friend, Ms. Roma Brown, with whom he shared many years of beautiful memories and special moments.

Walter Lee was employed by Security Skylar as a Security Guard until his health began to fail.

In his leisure time he enjoyed working on and repairing things, watching sports, and the thing Walter loved the most was spending time with his children and his family.

On Monday, December 1, 2025, Mr. Walter Lee Andrews' name was called, and he answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his son, Walter L. Thompson.

Mr. Walter Lee Andrews, Jr., leaves a legacy to be cherished in the hearts of his children, Wyderius Andrews, Cortez Fambro, Aarionna Askins-Andrews, Olillian Fambro, and Shamiracle Gibson; his parents, Walter Lee Andrews, Sr., and Beverly Rena Andrews; his sisters, Anana Andrews, and Patrice Andrews, 6 grandchildren, a special aunt, Bessie Mae Head, other aunts and uncles, Suebena Stokes, Tamatha Brittian, Timothy Taylor, and Clubby (Veronica) Stokes. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
