Walter F. Bollinger Jr., 79, of Manheim, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Walter F. Sr. and Elizabeth Miller Bollinger. He was the loving husband of Betty Mae Huntzberger Bollinger, and together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Walter was the founder and former owner of Middle Creek Builders in Ephrata. An ordained minister, he faithfully served as a pastor for seven years, touching countless lives and sharing the love of Jesus with others. He and his wife were members of LCBC, Manheim. Walter was known for his happy, friendly nature and his encouragement of everyone around him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and following the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, whom he dearly loved.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Darryl, husband of Tammy Bollinger, and Kevin, husband of Kelly Bollinger, both of Lititz, and Duane, husband of Jennifer Bollinger, of Ephrata; a daughter, Kylene, wife of Shawn Martin, of Newmanstown; his 13 grandchildren: Megan wife, of Garret Miller, Dalton, husband of Sheila Bollinger, Lauren, wife of Kyle Eberly, Brynn Bollinger, Jaden, husband of Taylor Bollinger, Janae Bollinger, Aubrie, wife of Ethan Brown, Carter Bollinger, Zachary Martin, Brielle Martin, Alex Martin, Wyatt Martin, and Bennett Martin; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Anthony, husband of Charlene Bollinger, of Denver. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Dissinger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Walter’s Funeral Service at LCBC–Manheim Campus, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a viewing from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please use South Auditorium Entrance. Interment will be private at Middle Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Walter’s memory to Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center, 2102 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
