Daniel S. Rambler, 88 of Manheim, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late, Calvin and E. Marie Strickler Rambler. Dan was the loving husband of M. Jean Shank Rambler and they observed their 65th wedding anniversary in July of this year. Dan worked as an auto body technician for the same Ford Manheim dealership for 63 years presently Hondru Ford. He was an active and faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, where he served as a greater, and on the Altar Guild. Dan served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post 185 Mount Joy.
Throughout his life Dan had a love for the outdoors; enjoying hunting, fishing, camping with his family, and traveling to the family cabin in Tioga County. He loved shooting trap, and refining his archery skills as a member of the Big Buck Archer’s, in Hummelstown, and the Manheim Sportsmen’s Association. He had a deep love for his family, and cherished all the time he could spend with them.
Surviving in addition to his wife Jean, are three sons: Terry Rambler & Michelle of Mount Joy, Michael husband of Michele Rambler of Palmyra, Stephen husband of Diana Rambler of Manheim, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Tex, Robert, and David Rambler and two sisters: Helen Will, and Ruthie Rambler,
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dan’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. All are invited to attend Dan’s Interment Services with Military Honors on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Everyone is requested to meet at the Buch Funeral Home, Manheim, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 where the procession will leave promptly for Indiantown Gap National Cemetery by 12:30 PM. Interment services will be at the cemetery at 2:00 PM that day. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Dan’s memory to: Lebanon V. A.
