Englewood, New Jersey, Walter was the son of Walter Dombrowski and Nancy Radicia Hessian. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the Military Police from November 6, 1990, to November 5, 1994. His military education included Military Police, Primary Leadership Development, Military Police Investigator, and Combat Lifesaver. Among his many honors were the Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Southwest Asian Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Expert Badge for M-16 Rifle and 9MM Pistol, and the Army Lapel Button. Walter earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1989, where he was recognized on the Dean's List and affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He later continued his academic journey at ECPI College of Technology, again earning Dean's List honors. A lifelong learner and innovator, Walter held numerous computer certifications and founded Red Turtle Studios, where he blended technology with creativity through freelance work. He served as a Web Developer at MAT, Inc. His interests were as diverse as they were deep-computers, aviation, music, painting, and storytelling. On July 7, 2025, Walter published his first book, Reinvention: Reckless, a biographical autofiction released through Newman Springs Publishing. The work stands as a testament to his introspective spirit and artistic voice. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Walter Dombrowski and Nancy Radicia Hessian, and his sister, Dawn Angus. He is survived by his three loving children, Sabrina, Amanda, and Jordyn Dombrowski. He also leaves behind his nephew, Andrew Angus; his aunt Donna and her husband Kenny West; his uncle Louis Radicia; and many cherished cousins: DJ Desfosse, Kimberly Moskowitz, Brianna Alaia, Michael Radicia, Jennifer Herman, Brian Radicia, Kristina Walsh, Scott Radicia, and Susan Bielecki. He will be deeply missed by his friends, co-workers, and all who knew him. Walter will be cremated and laid to rest with full military honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in December 2025.
