Walter Freeman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Windham on Oct. 20, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Walter F. Freeman, 76, of Windham, New Hampshire, passed away on October 18, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Taunton, Massachusetts, where he raised his family.

He was a devoted husband to the love of his life Toni (James) Freeman and loving father to Kelley Freeman, Craig Freeman, and Shaunna (Freeman) O'Connell.

Walter had a deep love for his family and enjoyed every minute of life with them, going camping, having large family gatherings, family baseball games, going for bicycle and motorcycle rides, and traveling with his wife Toni. His grandchildren Ashton and Riley were the light of his life, and he and Toni loved taking them on adventurous summer trips.

Some of his proudest moments in life were seeing Shaunna elected as Mayor of their hometown of Taunton and seeing Ashton graduate from West Point Military Academy.

He had a deep sense of civic pride and duty. Walt was a member of the Taunton Jaycees, and the Pulpit Rock and Mount Lebanon Masonic Lodges, serving as Past Master of both. He also served in the Grand Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.

Walt leaves behind his wife Toni, children Kelley, Craig, Shaunna and her husband Ted and their children Ashton and Riley. He also leaves his siblings Pete Freeman, Barry Freeman, Kevin Freeman and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings David, Carol, Richard, and Paul.

Walt leaves a lasting legacy of love of family, community, and country.

We find comfort in knowing that he lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4-7 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will begin at 7 PM.
