Walter Genske Obituary
August 24, 1943 - March 15, 2025
Walt Paul Genske, 81, peacefully entered eternal rest on March 15, 2025. Walt, born in New Berlin, WI, spent his final years in the Town of Erin, WI. A graduate of Marquette University, Walt had a distinguished career as an electrical engineer and later excelled as an account executive in sales at Honeywell. He subsequently founded C&E Marine, where his passion for marine electronics thrived.
Walt is survived by his loving wife, Deb Petritz; brother, Roger (Marilyn); children, Randy, Mike, Shari McGlynn (Don), and Janet Baker (Bill); stepchildren, Mark Petritz (Holly), Scott Petritz (Jenn), and Kim Krogstad (Matt); twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his cherished dogs, Abbey, Brandy, and Lily.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Visitation 10A - 10:45A with Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street Hartford, WI 53027, interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Walt's ingenuity, love for family, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed.
