Walter Harris Obituary
Walter was born on September 17, 1951 in Tupelo, MS. He was the son of the late Erma Lee Clay and Jerry Jr. Harris.
Walter attended Beloit Memorial High School, where he graduated in 1968. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and spending time with family. Walter surrendered his life to God in 2025 when he became a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church.
Walter leaves behind a fiancé, Myra Alston of Beloit, WI; sister, Brenda Harris of Beloit, WI; two brothers, Josh Clay and Marcus Clay both of Beloit, WI; step sister, Gayle of Pocola, OK; stepson, Chris Murray of Beloit, WI; stepdaughter, Cherrita Alston of Beloit, WI; a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more that loved Al.
Walter was predeceased by his mother, Erma Lee Clay; father, Jerry Jr. Harris; brother, Jerry T. Harris; grandmother, Cleo Floyd; uncles, Walter P. Floyd and Alfred Floyd.
A Funeral Service for Walter will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Walter A.
