Walter Jedynak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Original Rago Brothers Funeral Home - Northwest Location -Norridge Chap on Mar. 2, 2026.
Walter (Wally) Jedynak Jr, 89 of Chicago, IL passed away on February 19, 2026 in Northbrook, IL. Wally was born in 1936, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Walter Sr. and Marie Jedynak. He served in the US Army in 1959-1961 and lived his life with an open heart, always willing to help provide support with home and business property needs. He specialized in construction, installation & repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and didn't hesitate in providing an unsolicited opinion of what could be improved upon in any situation. He celebrated life every moment he had and often cheered on life's successes with a cold brewed beverage and devoted every waking moment to his career.

He married Paula Buccelli in 1970 and lived in Chicago until Paula's death in 1979. He continued to establish his independent career in Chicago and created lifelong bonds with the businesses and families he served. Later in life, he once again found love and married Antonia K. in 2006 and resided in Wheeling, IL while still providing support to his Chicago friends and neighbors.

Wally is survived by his daughter, Paula; his son-in-law, Terry; his grandchildren Margaret & Shannon; his sister, Katherine; his niece, Ann-Marie; his nephew, Nick Jr.; his 2nd wife Antonia and her grown children; in addition to distant relatives and lifelong friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother & father; his 1st wife, Paula; his stepsons, Tony & Louie; and his brother-in-law, Nick Sr.
