Walter was best known by “Kelly” or “B” and was born April 30, 1948, to Walter C. and Dorothy E. (Bartholomew) Kelly. He grew fast and smart, graduating from Keokuk High School in 1966. He then joined the Navy and was discharged in 1971.
He wondered around aimlessly, lost and confused, until he started at Deere Harvester, where he met the love of his life, Deborah Ingram. In a fast whirlwind of a relationship they married January 21, 1984, in Davenport, Iowa. Shortly after their favorite daughter joined the family; followed quickly by their favorite son in 1986. Walter and Deborah were unconditionaly and irrevocably in love for 42 years.
Walter spent decades fishing and worked at the Elridge Post Office. He accomplished becoming a lifemaster in Bridge with ACBL.
Walter is survived by his drop-dead gorgeous wife, Deborah Kelly; his favorite daughter, Colleen (Daniel) Woods; and his favorite son, Sean (Jasynda Mays) Kelly. Along with his four wild and crazy grandkids, Cole (21), Justin (18), Dylan (16), and last but certainly not least, Nova Hope (3). He is also survived by his loving and caring siblings, Larry (Renee) Kelly and Beth Kelly.
Walter was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Walter and Dorothy; his sister, Nancy; and his stepmother, Millie; all waiting to hear what took him so long.
