Walter L. “Billy” Krigbaum, of Loveland passed away October 1, 2006. He was born to H. Dean and Helen Webb Krigbaum on August 3, 1952 in Quincy, IL. He graduated from high school in Quincy, IL. He received his BA from CSU. Walter worked at Conrad Ball Middle School for 28 years as a Physical Education and Health teacher. He was also a coach for wrestling and football. He was a past member of the Loveland Tennis Association. He was a member of the First Congregational Church. He headed up a weight training class for the kids at Conrad Ball Middle School. He enjoyed music and was a percussionist. He was a member of the band, FUBAR with Jim Kristoff and Daryl Ray. He is survived by his companion & special angel, Laura May Pitt of Loveland; son, Kristopher Krigbaum (Elle) of Powhatan, VA; sisters, Kay James and Jeanne Felker of Quincy, IL, Jo Lair of Apache Junction, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother, Herbert Dean, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at Conrad Ball Middle School Gymnasium. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walter Krigbaum Memorial Fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80538.

Mr. Krigbaum was my favorite teacher and friend. I'm 47 now and still think about the laughs we shared weight lifting after school. He and Mr. Kristoff were a scream.
