Walter J. Lopez, 62, of Stroud Township, passed away Friday morning, March 13, 2026 at Temple University Hospital - Jeanes Campus in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Georgiana Lopez with whom he shared 29 years of marriage.

Born on November 19, 1963 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, he lived in Monroe County since 1994 moving from Brooklyn, NY.

Walter was a mental health counselor having worked at St. Claire's Hospital in Denville, NJ.

He was a member of The Church of St. Luke in Stroudsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother and step-father, Daisy Salano (Orellana) and Vincent Salano; five children, Amanda Molina, Judith Frankovic and her husband David, Walter "TJ" Lopez and his wife Juliana, Brandon Lopez and Isabella Lopez;seven grandchildren, Jaedon, Elijah, Charlotte, Bennett, Felicity, Sofia and Levi; five siblings, Ingrid Hernandez, Maynor "Mike" Lopez, Tony Rodriguez, Karina Lopez and Tiffany Dellamo; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a godchild, Daisy Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Antonio Lopez.

There will be viewing hours on Tuesday, March 17th from 2:00 to 7:00PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 18th, at 11:00AM at The Church of St. Luke, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg with Rev. Michael F. Quinnan as celebrant. Private cremation will take place following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
