Joseph Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by William H. Clark Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 13, 2026.
Joseph Nyce Miller, Sr., age 89, of Pocono Pines, died peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Sellersville.

Born in Pocono Pines on January 10, 1937 to the late E. Rodger and Katherine (Nyce) Miller; Joe was truly a native son of Pocono Pines, being a 5th-generation member of the community his family founded. He operated the family printing and publishing company that serviced the community for over 90 years and continues to operate today. He served on the Tobyhanna Township Planning Commission and received a resolution from the Township in 2016 for his 46 years of service. His most cherished hobby since in his teens was flying airplanes and he served on the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority for over 20 years. Joe was a dedicated family man who loved snowmobiling, being outdoors, entertaining friends and giving back to his community. He also served in the Army Reserves.

Surviving are his wife, Temi Bohdal Miller, and his three children, Joseph N. Miller Jr., Edwin R. Miller II, and Marie "Mitzi" Miller, who all agree he was the best father they could have asked for.

A graveside service and burial will take place on Thursday, March 19th at 2:00pm at Pocono Lake Cemetery and a celebration of Joe's life will immediately follow at the Miller's Stonehouse at 110 Miller Drive.

Arrangements are under the direction of the William H. Clark Funeral Home in Stroudsburg.
