Sherry A. Keiper

Pastor Sherry A. Keiper 70 of Pocono Pines, PA passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at her father's residence in Pocono Lake, PA.

She was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on September 12, 1955, daughter of Homer Argot of Pocono Lake, PA and the late Gloria (Gangware) Argot.

Sherry was the wife of the late Ralph L. Keiper who preceded her in death on February 3, 2014.

She and her late husband owned and operated Keiper's Lock and Alarm in Pocono Pines, PA for 39 years. Sherry also was a self-employed accountant in Pocono Pines, PA for 42 years.

She was the kind of woman whose presence could light up a room, warm, generous and devoted to serving her community.

Sherry received her bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA.

She continued her education and was ordained as a pastor on June 7, 2018, and served as an assistant pastor at Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church in Pocono Lake, PA. She also served as a bookkeeper for Tobyhanna Township Fire Company, the Tunkhannock Township Fire Company and the Pocono Mt. Regional Ambulance Corp.

We have been blessed with the presence of Sherry in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her father: Homer Argot of Pocono Lake, PA, her children; Carolyn Keiper and companion Javier Cruz of Pocono Pines, PA, Jason Keiper of Pocono Lake, PA, Alan Keiper and spouse Tamara of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Angela Keiper of Philadelphia, PA.

She was the loving grandmother to Noelle Keiper of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Sherry is also survived by three brothers: Gordan Argot and spouse Lena of Long Pond, PA, Doug Argot and spouse Beth of Chicago, IL, Dean Argot and spouse Kelly of Dillsburg, PA and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Wednesday, February 25, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA 18331.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church, 203 Spur Road, Pocono Lake, PA with Pastor Steve Flecken officiating.

Sherry will be laid to rest at the Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Pocono Lake, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made In Loving Memory of Sherry A. Keiper to: Five Loaf House, 133 Firehouse Road, Pocono Pines, PA 18350.
