Walter Lubbess Obituary
October 15, 1947 - February 22, 2026
An extraordinary husband and a beloved father, Walter Lubbess of Wellton, Arizona, passed away at the age of 78 on Sunday, February 22, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord.
Walter was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served his country in Vietnam. He lived his life with unwavering honor and integrity. He had a deep love for traveling and treasured every moment spent with his family and his loyal dog, Boomer. Throughout his life, Walter was a constant source of strength, guidance, and support for those he loved. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts.
Walter will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary Lubbess; his children, in order by age, Gene Hobbs, Allen Hobbs, Angela Brabant, Tammy Smith, Lorrie Quintana-Kerchal, and Robin Bonanno; as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Walter's life will be held at 1:00 PM on March 6, 2026, at Sunset Vista Funeral Home and Cemetery 11357 E 40th Street Yuma, AZ 85367.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
