Later in 1984, Walter began to work for Texas Instruments in Dallas from 1984-1998. He worked with the Reconstruction Raytheon – TI Division. During his years as a mechanical engineer, some of his designs were patented. Walter then left the corporate world and began his career in real estate investment, renovations, and management. One of his renovations was the Molly Cherry, an 1890's historic home in Denison, TX.
Walter and his wife, Lynn Castle Robinson Marrable had three beautiful children, son Walter Edwin Marrable llI, daughter-in-law Kristin Marrable, granddaughter Ava Elise Marrable, son James Castle Robinson Marrable with fiancée Jennifer Elizabeth Harmon, daughter Lauren Jean MacMillan Marrable with fiancée James Coleman. Walter took great delight in his kids and in their accomplishments. As a family, they enjoyed traveling to various places.
Walter is also survived by his sister, Susie Lyn Marrable Haron, a nephew, James Lawrence Haron (Jennifer Leiann Haron) and their daughter, Beatrix Brooklyn "BB" and a niece, Angela Price Haron and her daughter, Aria Price Montero. As a younger man, Walter enjoyed doing 50-miler hikes with the Methodist Boy Scout troop, playing drums as his father did and working on hot rod cars and restoring old cars. He loved to swing dance. He also enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes at the Methodist Church. Walter treasured prayer. He found spiritual renewal in his Walk to Emmaus journey and his stay at Four Rivers Outreach. Walter also enjoyed the company of numerous dogs and cats.
