Walter Joseph Matulewicz

We bid farewell to our loving husband and father, Walter Joseph Matulewicz, who departed from this world on September 24th, 2024 at the age of 87. A resident of Marshfield, Massachusetts, he was the pillar of strength that our family was founded on. His absence leaves a void in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Gerda Matulewicz, and the families of his two children, Steven and Jennifer.
Walter had a passion for puzzles and enjoyed nature documentaries. Through his dedication to his job at the telephone company, he was able to provide many wonderful experiences with his family. Walter was a U. S. and world traveler, and he brought to our family this love of adventure. While he tended to be a reserved and quiet man, his sense of humor and timing livened up many gatherings. His passion for carpentry and all things mechanical supported his family's projects.
To commemorate his remarkable life and the memories we cherish, a memorial service will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home on Monday, October 7th. The wake is from 9:00am to 11:30am, at which time our priest will say prayers. Afterwards, we will proceed to the Couch Cemetery for burial and military send off. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed.
