Rutland – Walter H. Sambrook
Walter Howard Sambrook, 84 passed away May 24, 2025, with his family by his side after a long battle with Parkinsons disease. He was born February 25, 1941, in Troy, New York to Howard and Evelyn Sambrook.
He grew up in Troy, New York graduating from Lansingburgh High School and attending business school. He worked for many years at the Economy Store as an interior store decorator and then worked as a self-employed painter/paperhanger for many years. He enjoyed basketball and coaching the young kids.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Sambrook, his daughter Kirsten Roberts (Robin) and son Matthew Sambrook (Samantha); grandchildren, MacKenzie, Jason and Jeremy Roberts; Abigial Cortina (James) and Brandon Farrell; and Isla, Jett and Emri Sambrook. He is also survived by a brother Howard Sambrook (Marybeth) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, a daughter Lisa Sambrook in 2022, and his sister and brother-in-law Alice Hackett (Terry) of Troy, New York.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
