Mr. Walter Warren Satterlee, 74, of East Peoria passed away on February 09, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born to Orin and Eunice (Outhouse) Satterlee on September 17, 1951 in Peoria, IL. Walter married Melva Lee Clark. She precedes him in death.

If you met Walt once, you had a friend for life. His early passions included drumming, fishing, and camping. Walt was a motorcycle enthusiast, coaching one son through motocross events and riding his Triumph with another son. He loved planes, trains, and automobiles and loved to learn about and observe them. Walt was an expert handyman, able to fix anything. As the digital age advanced, he also became proficient with cell phones, laptops, and anything digital. His days were filled with calls and texts from his children that started with "Hey Dad, how do I..." Mostly, Walt loved to host dinners and bonfires at home for family and friends, always making his celebrated pot roast, mashed potatoes, and Satterlee Iced Tea. He also loved to bake with his daughters and often made his famous chocolate pies, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate fudge that everyone enjoyed. Walt was a Palanza's Pizza lover and a Costco connoisseur where he always got his steps in. He was tall and broad shouldered, but everyone knew that he was a Gentle Giant. Towards the end of his illness, Walt especially enjoyed his connections with his medical team, where they always greeted him by name and spoke of him with great affection. Walt was a great man of abundant talents, much kindness, and an ability to bring people together in many ways. He will live in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. We love you Waltzillah the Hot Fudge Sundae Killah.

He is survived by daughter, Jackie (David) Frost of Pekin, IL; son, Joey (Bobbie) Feathers of East Peoria, IL; daughter, Jaimie (James) McFarlin of Eureka, IL; daughter, Tiffini (James) Curless of Peoria, IL; son, Dusty (Jennifer) Satterlee of Carterville, IL; grandson Derek (Angie) Rosenthal of Deer Creek, IL; grandson Brett (Kaylee) Frost of Tremont, IL; grandson, Trenton Satterlee of Peoria, IL; grandson, Donald (Hannah) of Heyworth, IL; grandchildren, Jameson, Peyton, and Lainey Curless of Peoria IL, and grandson, Reed Satterlee of Carterville, IL.
