Walter “Scotty” Lee Wagner, 56, passed away on October 20, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Scotty passed unexpectedly from medical complications at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN.
Scotty was a loving father, brother, papaw and uncle who will be missed by his whole family. An avid fisherman, he loved spending time on the water when he wasn’t working in his retail job or spending time with his family.
He was born June 7, 1969, in Peru, IN to Peggy McCord and Howard Wagner, before residing most of his life in Anderson, IN.
He was preceded in death by parents Peggy and Les McCord and Howard and Narce Wagner, as well as sister Loretta Martin, newphew Nicholas Wagne, and brother-in-law Billy Gordon.
Scotty is survived by daughters Katie Powell and Catrina Wagner; grandchildren Messiah, Eleanore, Eliza, Malakhai, and Bristol; siblings Mary Klock (Mike), Peggy Williams (Charlie), Donna Hodson (Danny), Tammy Gordon, Butch Wagner, and Lena (Kay) McCord; and many nieces and nephews.
Scotty will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date and time.
