Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Hartinger); dear father of Cathy (Bruce) Zgoda, Timothy (Kevin Lang), Christine (James) Smerecak, and Kurt (Susan); loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother of Gerald (late Ethel), and late Rita (late Norbert) Snyder; also survived by nieces and a nephew. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Martyrs Church, 180 George Urban Blvd., Cheektowaga, Wednesday 11 AM. No prior visitation. Walter was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and POW who served in France and Germany. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Online condolences at www.PACERFUNERALHOME.com
