Born in Indianapolis, IN and had been a resident of Okeechobee for 15 years, coming from his birthplace.
Mr. Wiegert served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Linkbelt for 36 years. He was a lifelong member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include his companion of 12 years, Nancy Miller of Okeechobee, FL; one daughter, Martha Garing of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Isaac and Klara.
Arrangement of under the directions of Millennium Funeral Home and Crematory Okeechobee, FL.
