Walter George Willis

Walter George Willis, a dedicated and honorable man, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 96. Born on September 12, 1929, in Colorado, he led a life marked by service and commitment.

Mr. Willis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, where he forged a distinguished career before retiring. Following his military service, he continued to contribute to the safety and well-being of others through his work as a Fire Prevention Inspector. His dedication to duty and professionalism were hallmarks of his career.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents and his beloved wife, Frances Gilbert Willis, with whom he shared many cherished years. His legacy continues through his surviving family: his son, Scott Willis, Sr., and his wife, Theresa; his grandson, Scott Willis, Jr.; and his great-grandson, Walker James Willis.

A graveside service to honor and remember Walter George Willis will be held on Friday, April 3rd, at 10 AM at Princess Anne Memorial Park, located at 1110 N Great Neck Rd, Virginia Beach.
