Wanda L. Anthony

Wanda Lee Anthony, a daughter of the late, Harry Anthony and Laverne Roundtree Anthony (survived), was born, February 15, 1953, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and attended Paducah College. As a lifelong member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church, Wanda served in many capacities some consisting of Willing Workers, Pastor's Aide, and choir member. Wanda was a retired employee of the Bowling Green City School System, driving a school bus and mentoring children for over 20 years. Wanda enjoyed tennis, riding bikes, playing bingo, Bruno Mars and the casino. Wanda was also a member of the Elks Club #933. To know Wanda was to love Wanda. She was truly a joy to be around. Her children called her blessed and she loved them dearly.
On Sunday, November 24, 2024, after a brief illness, while surround by the love of her family, Wanda, transitioned to her resting place as she joined her parents, and siblings, Melvin Anthony, and Elaine Anthony.
To cherish the loving memory of Wanda Lee Anthony she leaves her children, Chetina (Jeremy) Bunton, Desmond Anthony, and Devron Anthony; grandchildren, LaShayla, Elease, and Asante; great granddaughter, Senia; brother, Dennis Ray Anthony; sister, Donna Anthony; several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
