Wanda Batts, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024. Born on July 5, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late William Calvin and Marie Brady, Wanda was the beloved wife of the late William Batts. She was a devoted mother to Cheryl Tiller (Deward), Sandra Baer, Diane Patton (Charles), and James Woods (Tana). Wanda was a cherished grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 13, and great-great-grandmother of 1. She is survived by her dear sister, Norma Lindo, and was preceded in death by her siblings James Brady, Linda Bunch, Delphia Kasziek, Mary Goodspeed, Patricia Hendrix, Wilma Blevins, and Sandra Woods.
Wanda was the sweetest person you would ever meet, known for her warmth and kindness. She will be dearly missed by her special friends, Mark Ruggles and Geneva, and lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Wanda enjoyed diamond art, puzzles, and spending cherished moments with her family.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a service will be held at 6:30 and officiated by Pastor Tim Neal.
