Wanda Lee Beachboard, age 77, of Bethany Beach, DE passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Baltimore, MD on October 17, 1945 to the late Vincent J. Durbano and the late Etta Hildred Ash.
Wanda was raised in Marcus Hook, PA and graduated from Media High School in 1963. She married her high school sweetheart, James Beachboard in 1967 and together they lived in Aston and Concord Township, PA before moving to Bethany Beach, DE in 1999.
She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Wanda enjoyed cooking and reworking recipes to be kidney/dialysis friendly. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling with family. She was a fan of NASCAR, specifically Jeff Gordon. After moving to Bethany Beach, she became a member of Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, V. James Durbano. She is survived by her husband James and daughter, Jill Wolfe (Jeffrey), granddaughter Zoe Wolfe and her beloved grandcat, Sir Pendleton. She is also survived by sisters Florence Scibilia and Linda Crossman.
The family would like to thank the dialysis staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Rehoboth Beach for the care they showed Wanda during the past four years.
A memorial service will take place at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE, 19970 where friends and family can gather starting at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Wanda's name to the National Kidney Foundation- Serving Maryland and Delaware or Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church.

Jim, Jill and family, you will never no how very sad I am of Wanda´s passing. We have been the best of friends since the 1970´s. I will never forget all the wonderful times we had together. She may be gone but she will live in my heart forever. With all my love and sympathy, Diane Lambert
