Wanda Bell peacefully went to be with her Lord on December 6 at age 88 after a brief illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Lucille Burke, and her sister, Shirley Griffin.
Wanda was a devoted wife to her husband, Bob, acting as his caregiver over the last few years. As childhood friends, Bob and Wanda became High School Sweethearts and married at age 18. On Christmas Eve, they would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Bob's occupation relocated them to several different states and cities throughout the years where Wanda worked as a secretary for various establishments. About twenty years ago, they settled in the Fort Worth area where Wanda assisted in the caretaking of her mother. Wanda was an avid reader, played the piano since childhood, and was a talented artist which was reflected in both her oil paintings and her crochet creations. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Bob Bell, son Robert M. Bell (Maura), daughter Jana Kaay Graves (Steve), granddaughters Emily Graves, Cheryl Baker and Maurita Cano, brothers Mack Burke Jr. and Joe Burke, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
