Wanda Black Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunlap Memorial Home on May 5, 2025.
Wanda Ann Black, 57, of Fort Atkinson, passed away April 26, 2025 at Fort Memorial Hospital.
Wanda was born to George and Joanne Black on February 8, 1968, at St. Mary's in Wausau, WI.
She attended school in Fort Atkinson and graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1986. After graduation, she attended Humphrey Job Corp. in Minnesota then she returned to her hometown and went to work at First Federal / Hopkins / Associated Bank, she used to joke about working for so many banks at the same teller window. She was a desk clerk at Super 8 and worked at Citgo on the Point where she particularly liked to make and decorate the doughnuts.
Wanda volunteered for the Food Pantry and Second Harvest. She was a member of First United Methodist Church as well as Rainbow and Eastern Star.
Wanda enjoyed reading and baking, owning several hundred cookie cutters, organizing gatherings with friends to decorate holiday cookies. She had great fun helping her friend Ron at barbecue competitions. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her father, George C.; siblings, Wendy, Jodi and George W.; niece, Wylee Lopez; long-time friend Ron Strohbusch and many friends and family members. She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother Joanne.
Burial will be held on June 19th at Evergreen at 11:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at Haumerson's Pond.
The family would like to thank Alden Estates for their care over the years.
Donations may be made in her name to Dwight Foster Public Library.
The family is being assisted by Dunlap Memorial Home.
