Ms. Wanda Joyce "Rabbit" Canady

Wanda Joyce "Rabbit" Canady was born on April 23, 1944 in Menifee, Arkansas to the late George Ishmel and Nevada Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Canady, six (6) brothers and two (2) sisters. She graduated from the Conway County Training School in Menifee, Arkansas and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Denver and Wanda were married on August 23, 1963 and to this union two children were born. She retired from Milbanks Manufacturing Company and attended Swope Parkway Church of Christ. In 2002, Denver and Wanda packed up and moved back to Arkansas to enjoy their retirement and placed their membership with Menifee Church of Christ in Menifee, Arkansas. Wanda loved her flowers and never missed a spot to plant a flower around the house. She also loved to cook, dance, and wear her "Sketcher" sneakers and had every color. She departed this life on September 20, 2025 peacefully in her home in Independence, Missouri. She leaves to cherish her memory with son Fred (Mia) Canady and daughter Trina Canady, sister Barbara Byers, grandchildren Ciera Canady and Cameron Canady, great grandson Jahri Johnson and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, at 1:00pm- 2:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Floral Hills Cemetery.
