Mrs. Wanda J. Ehrmann

Hawthorn Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Wanda J. Ehrmann, 75, of Carthage, Texas. Mrs. Wanda Jean Ehrmann was born on July 11, 1949 in Carthage, Texas and passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in Carthage. Born to the marriage of Ovie and Irene Maines Tew, Wanda was raised and schooled in Carthage, graduating from Carthage High School. Wanda, along with her daughter Renee, owned and operated Wanda and Renee's Café for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts and dancing, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Darlene Pierce; sisters, Betty Sue Kuhn and JoAnn Jacobs; and 2 grandchildren.
Mrs. Ehrmann is survived by her daughter, Renee Pierce of Carthage; brother, L.C. Tew of Carthage; grandsons, Dalton Hudman of Carthage and Cody Childers of Gilmer; great granddaughter, Alexis Childers; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
