Wanda Faye Board Jones

Wanda Faye Board Jones, 83, of Bowling Green passed away December 9, 2025 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky after a lengthy illness.
The Warren County native was born March 2, 1942 to the late Ernest and Betty Jewell Goad Board. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Seroba Hardcastle. Wanda was a longtime member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church. During her work life, she worked as an Avon Representative, a substitute rural route carrier, and later as cafeteria manager at Rich Pond Elementary and Alvaton Elementary.
Wanda loved to paint landscape paintings, crafting, her garden. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bobby Jones; children, Robbie Jones (Debbie) and Sherry York (Mike) both of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Michael Robert York of Knoxville and Shelby York (Cole) of Frankfort; siblings, Bobby Neal Board, Billy Board, Jimmy Board, Rex Board, Nancy Pardue, and Linda White all of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
