Frances F. Simmons

Frances Simmons of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away at Signature Healthcare on December 27, 2025. The Warren County native was born to the late George Tinsley and Elva Mae Golden on January 5, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, John Simmons, as well as her siblings Aileen Hagan, Ethel Groves, and Earl Tinsley.
She is survived by two sons, Joe (Donna) Simmons and Russell Simmons, both of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Joseph and Katrina Simmons, and her great granddaughter, Abbey Simmons. Her sister, Cynthia Elmore, also survives, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Frances was a devoted homemaker who truly loved her family. She was a member of the homemakers club in Warren County. She was capable of accomplishing anything she set her mind to and loved dedicating her time to others. After working for 15 years at the Union Underwear Company, she spent her time caring for the elderly. She was the life of the party and loved by all who had the opportunity to know her.
Services have been entrusted to the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, and continue until 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume the following morning from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Broadway Chapel. Burial will follow at Green River Union Cemetery.
