Wanda Diane Vining Holloman

Wanda Diane Vining Holloman, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Born September 7th, 1952 to the late Nathan Felix Vining and Mary Ethel Vining, Wanda lived a life marked by her generosity, strength, and deep love for her family.

Wanda graduated from Avondale High School in Decatur, Georgia in the 1970's. Over the years she lived in both Barnesville and Griffin, but most of her life was spent in Milner, Georgia, where she proudly owned her two bedroom home and built a life of love and care for those around her.

In 1981, Wanda began her career with Procter and Gamble, a manufacturing company, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. In 2008 she moved in with her daughter & grandchildren where she lived until her passing.

Wanda found joy in life's quieter pleasures. She loved puzzles, reading mystery novels, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her grandchildren. In her later years she was especially devoted to her passion for genealogy, where she built her family tree dating back to the 1800's.

Despite ongoing health struggles, Wanda fought bravely to the end against vascular disease. Her empathy, generosity, and resilience left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Sandi) Merritt (husband Carlos Merritt) and Daniel Jason Holloman (wife Kristina Holloman); her grandchildren, Tyler Holloman (wife Mackenzie Holloman), Erin Merritt, and Caden Merritt; her step grandchildren, Steven Segrest (wife Laken) and Jenifer Graham (husband Mikey Rippy); her siblings, Rhonda Yearwood (husband Jim Yearwood) and Jerry Vining; and her nieces, Nicole Garcia (husband Tony Garcia) and Amber Harrell (husband Brad Harrell).

Wanda will be remembered for her loving heart, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 18, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment at Milner Baptist Church Cemetery.
