Barbara Jean "Mayo" Greer

Barbara Jean (Mayo) Greer (89) of Jonesboro, GA, beloved "Granny" passed on to the heavenly gates of our Lord and into the arms of her forever love, Harold Greer on Monday, March 16, 2026.

A gentle and loving heart, full of strength, and a huge lover of all sports. She was a true die-hard fan of the Atlanta Braves, and she left an indelible mark on every life she touched. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, Ralph Harold Greer, her loving parents, Irvin Thomas and Ferrell Mae (Buffington) Mayo and her sister, Becky Heisley.

Barbara was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Her legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the love she poured so generously into others. Barabara is survived by her two children, Amanda (Gary) Honrine of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Ralph Harold (Deborah) Greer, Jr. of Fayetteville, GA; six grandchildren, Chad (Rita) Greer of Hampton, GA, Chase (Allison) Greer of Savannah, GA, Ronald (Emiline) Holland of Philippines, Kenny Honrine of North Carolina, Douglas (Sarah) Berkelbaugh, Jr. of Tampa, FL, and Nichole (Henry) Freeman of Stockbridge, GA; eight great-grandchildren, Devin Whitehurst, Mason Whitehurst, Camiryn Whitehurst, Jaxson Freeman, Rowan Greer, Dylan Berkelbaugh, Evan Berkelbaugh, and Austin Berkelbaugh. Barbara will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
