Wanda Gale Marler Vance Lanius - age 78 of Castalian Springs passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.
She was preceded in death by parents, George William "G.W." & Ruby Marler; brother, Sammy (Gladys) Marler; and sister-in-law, Nell Haynes.
She is survived by husband of 36 years, Jerry G. Lanius; children, Paula Vance Ballinger, Chad (Amelia) Vance, and Matthew (Katie) Vance; step daughter, Shelly Lanius (David) Brown; brother, Jimmy Marler; grandchildren, Jackson (Mary Brooke) Vance, Mason Ballinger, Benjamin (Maddie) Vance, Luke Vance, Hudson Vance, Sawyer Vance, and Mia Vance; great grandchildren, Brinley Vance and Lakelynn Vance; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Mrs. Lanius was a 1964 graduate of Watertown High School and played varsity basketball.
She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. She was the owner and operator of Hallcroft and Kid's Korner Childcare for over 34 years. She had a vibrant spirt and loved and cared for children dearly. She also had a passion for dancing and bringing smiles to everyone around her.
She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Berea Church of Christ, 50 Berea Church Rd., Lebanon with visitation one hour prior to the service. Bro. Kevin White, Mike Flanagan, and Ronnie Jarrell will officiate and Interment will follow in the Leeville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Sims, Colby James, Shawn Johnson, Chris James, and Lynn and Darryl Marler. Honorary pallbearers, Dr. Roger McKinney, Kenneth Magness, Glen Haynes, Tommy Draper, Irvin Stone, and Don Burnley.
