Wanda Lee Obituary

Wanda was born on May 10, 1943, in Summerfield, Louisiana, to the parents of Clinton and Pinkie Davis. She passed on March 14, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, Clinton Davis, Jr., Helen Davis Brown, Johnie Lee Davis, Betty Davis Demings, Linda Davis Mitchell, Jesse Charles Davis, and her foster brother John Livingston.

She graduated from Haynesville High School in Haynesville, Louisiana. She attended Grambling University immediately after graduation.

Wanda married Azi Bell Lee and had four children, Gregory Davis, Glenda Lee Turner, Victor Lee (deceased), and Azi Bell Lee, Jr. Also, added to the family was Ivon Wilson. Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her children, Gregory, Glenda, Azi Bell Jr., Ivon, and her oldest granddaughter, LaWanda Lee. She also leaves a host of additional grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.

Wanda loved sports and people. She and her husband had a regional women's softball team, Dallas Hawkettes, in which she played shortstop for many years. In addition to softball, Wanda had a passion and a gift of cooking. She could often be found cooking a big Sunday dinner or selling meals during the week. She was known for her hospitality and always had plenty to share.

Wanda accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church, in Dallas, TX.
