Wanda L. Lordan – age 100, wife of the late Timothy J. Lordan died peacefully Monday, October 27 at her home with her family at her side.
She was born in Everett, January 29, 1925 a daughter of the late Carl and Gerda (Allgren) Olson and was raised in Everett. She was predeceased by her brothers Curt and Bert Olson and her sister Peggy Erickson. She spent her married life and raised her daughter Jodi in their home in Reading where she lived for about forty years. She moved into her in law apartment with Jodi and her family in Billerica 19 years ago and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up.
Wanda was employed as a Bookkeeper in her earlier years and then later in life finished her work career as a Cafeteria Worker for an elementary school in the Town of Reading. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Billerica and enjoyed time there with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time at her summer cottage in Wakefield, NH.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi Burns and Jodi's husband Tim of Billerica and her grandchildren, Hannah and Daniel Burns.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, October 30 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. and her burial will take place at the Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in Wanda's name to the First Congregational Church.
