Wanda Mayon

Wanda Mayon was born on January 30, 1960, in Houston, Texas to Alice Burnett and Peter Mayon Jr. She departed this life on March 1, 2024. Wanda was a loving daughter, sister, and friend.
Wanda was a graduate of Jesse H. Jones High School Class of 1979. She worked in Security and Janitorial Services for many years. After retiring, she dedicated her life to serving in the church as an Usher and assisting with Sunday School Assistant. She also dedicated time to taking care of her father for many years until her health failed.
Wanda was preceded in death by her stepmother: Claudette Mayon, stepfather: Pastor Sammy Burnett Sr., brothers: Gerard Duhon, Rodey Mayon, Gregory Duhon and Kenneth Mayon and Goddaughter: Mieka Allen.
On March 1, 2024, Wanda transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Pastor Alice Burnett, her father Peter Mayon Jr., sisters: Rhonda Blair (Tracie), Cheryl Randall (Jessie), Natalyn Duhon and Monica Hansford (Hela); brothers: Craig Mayon (Christine), Peter Alcenda, Jefferey Duhon, Peter Singleton (Carolyn), Sammy Burnett, Jr. (Fachon), Byron Burnett (Monica), Allen Burnett (Rosa) and Rodrick Burnett (Vonda) and a host of nieces, nephews, God children, family and friends.
