Mrs. Wanda Eubanks Mears, 74, of Ehrhardt, entered into rest Friday, January 23, 2026, at her son’s residence in Ehrhardt. She was the wife of the late Harry Marshall Mears to whom she was married 50 years.
Born June 9, 1951, she was the daughter of Allen Eubanks and Gladys Hutto Eubanks. She was a retired bank teller from South Carolina Bank and Trust, now known as South State Bank. She was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother who cherished spending time with her family and taking care of her boys and her grandchildren.
Surviving are: her children, Christopher Marshall Mears and Brett Allen Mears, both of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Madisyn Mears and Easton Mears; sister, Evelyn Eubanks Gardner and her husband Allen of Hilda; brother-in-law, Carlisle Kinard and his wife Carolyn of Ehrhardt; and sister-in-law, Joyce Mears Rucker and her husband Steve of Lexington. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Valerie Kinard Murdaugh and her husband Steve, Michael Kinard and his wife Melissa; Kristen Rucker, Caleb Rucker, and Michael Rucker; and great nieces and great nephews, Matthew Murdaugh, Brian Murdaugh, Jesse Murdaugh, Drew Murdaugh, Carley Kinard Watkins, Casey Kinard Stroble, Kelsey Kinard, Alex Rucker, and Lydia Rucker.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to: Mount Pleasant Evangelical Lutheran Church, Post Office Box 249, Ehrhardt, South Carolina 29081.
Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1173 Mount Pleasant Road, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
