Wanda M. Muller

Wanda Muller came into this world on October 16, 1937 in Queens, NY, born to beloved parents
Frank and Helen Tomczak.
Wanda played many roles in her life. She began her career in marketing as a buyer for
companies such as Emenee Toy Co. in Manhattan. Deciding that retailing was not for her, she
returned to Hofstra University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In 1960,
she graduated with academic honors and began her career as an elementary school teacher in
Uniondale.
Wanda married Gene Muller in 1961. Soon after, the couple settled in Massapequa and was
blessed with the birth of two daughters. Wanda remained busy, helping her mother operate
Village Casuals Boutique in Bellmore. As her daughters grew up, Wanda played an active role in their lives,
coaching numerous sports such as soccer, track, cheer, and volleyball. In her later years,
Wanda worked in a bank and as a substitute teacher.
However, Wanda's true passion and talent was interior design. She had the opportunity to
showcase her skills in a home remodel. She took the utmost pride in her design, and her home
is a true testament to her gift. Her impeccable style was not exclusive to interior design, and she
will be remembered for her exquisite sense of fashion.
Wanda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her fierce loyalty, faith,
intelligence and curiosity, and endless kindness will be missed by all who had the fortune of
knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love.
Wanda will be greatly missed by her daughters, Deena Muller and Krista Muller; granddaughter
Miranda Forbes; sister June Waters (Claude); nieces Candy Dunn (Kevin) and Tracey Walsh
(Ed); and grand-niece Riley. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband Gene; her
parents; her grandson Thomas Zachary; and many other relatives and friends who departed this
life before her.
There will be a brief visitation at the funeral home on Friday, February 24th from 8:45am - 9:45am. Wanda's life will be remembered by family and friends at a mass to be held at 10 o'clock on
Friday, February 24th at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, 2 Bayview Ave, Massapequa. Burial will
follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale. Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by
Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be directed to St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Massapequa, NY.
