Wanda Edith Plumm

Wanda Edith Plumm, age 92, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on August 16, 2025, at the Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on May 10, 1933, in Sault Ste. Marie to Herbert Turley and Lucille (Greux) Grier. Wanda grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault Area High School. She dedicated many years of her career to War Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a dietitian. After retiring, she continued serving her community through her work with legal services. In her free time, Wanda enjoyed relaxing with her favorite game shows and keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. She especially cherished the time she spent raising her children, often taking the family on tent camping trips that created lasting memories. Wanda is survived by her children, Debra (Arthur) Smart of Sault Ste. Marie, John Plumm of Sault Ste. Marie, Donald (Brenda) Plumm of Kincheloe, Michigan, Martin (Shelli) Plumm of Kincheloe; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, John; grandson, Jeremy Smart; and parents, Herbert Turley and Lucille Grier. Per Wanda's wishes, no services to be held. Wanda's final resting place will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, Michigan. Family Life Funeral Homes – Sault Ste. Marie assisted the family with arrangements.
