Wanda Rayner-Blount Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Metropolitan Funeral Service - Portsmouth Chapel on Sep. 27, 2025.
Wanda Rayner-Blount peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Silmon, Sr., and Lois Silmon, as well as her brothers, Douglas Silmon, William Silmon, Jr, and Vincent Silmon.

Wanda was born on December 5, 1955, in Key West, Florida. She was raised and educated in Portsmouth, Virginia, and graduated from Manor High School. Wanda had a deep passion for cooking, which led her to a fulfilling career. She retired as a Food Service Manager from Southeastern Virginia Training Center, where she was known for her hard work and dedication.

A proud and spirited member of the Screaming Eagles Motorcycle Club. Wanda was affectionately known as "Wicked Wanda." She had a vibrant personality and a love for life that extended beyond the kitchen and the road. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially gardening, fishing, and camping.

Wanda was a woman with a giving heart. Always willing to lend a helping hand. She made it a priority to care for others, especially her family. If she had it to give, it was yours.

Wanda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Terry Blount; her son, Milton Rayner (Deloris); grandchildren, Keira Rayner (Keshawn) and Milton Pritchard; and great-granddaughter, Kariah Moore. She is also survived by her sisters, Carmen Silmon, Isabelle Cherry, and Mertis Macon-White, along with a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy with love and gratitude.
