Wanda Patricia (Willis) Rogers, age 95, formerly of Tupelo, died peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her parents were Levi and Dove Willis of the Skyline community, and she devoted herself to taking care of them in their last years. She worked at North Mississippi Medical Center as a ward secretary, and later as a lab assistant at Tupelo Dental Lab. While living in Tupelo, she was a member of the Skyline Church of Christ and West Main Church of Christ. She was always willing to take food to those in need, or stay at the hospital with people.
Family was important to her, and she maintained close relationships with her nieces and nephews. Her love of pets brought many dogs and cats into her life, and she pampered them like they were her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers: Robert Willis, R.C. Willis, L.D. Willis, Vic Willis, Smythe Willis, Billy Joe Willis, and Jerry Willis.
Surviving family include her son, David Rogers (Suzi); grandchildren and spouses, Amanda (Jay) Griffin, and Brooke (Val) Kovalenko; great-grandchildren, Leah and Sadie Griffin, and Sophia and Nathan Kovalenko, all of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Caroline Willis, Tupelo, Mississippi, and Pat Willis, Cherokee, Alabama; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank both Vivo Taylor Care Center and Community Hospice for the care they have given.
A private graveside service for family members will be at Gilvo Cemetery. Funeral arrangements and burial will be handled by Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo.
