Wanda Danise (Conrad) Shields of Kettering, Ohio went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on January 24, 2026.

Danise was born October 17, 1935 in Lexington, KY to the late William Karl and Courtney Danise (Pope) Conrad and grandparents Fred K. and Myrtie (Gruelle) Conrad, and Andrew H. and Louella (Sowder) Pope.

She was educated in public grade school in Covington, KY and in high school at Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, SC.

She was a most extraordinarily devoted wife and mother and homemaker. She was greatly adored by her family and most respected by a host of friends. She especially enjoyed, among other things, sewing, cross stitch, knitting and quilt making. She lived to serve her Lord and to bless her entire family and others. She was a long-time very active member of the Washington Heights Baptist Church of Dayton.

Danise is survived by her most devoted and loving husband of nearly 72 years Donald C. and God’s special blessings -- her children: Susan D. Pence of Dayton, OH, Dr. Carl M. (Suzanne) Shields of Boston Heights, OH, Wm. Gary (Gina) Shields of Mason, OH, Lois Dianne (Gerald) Greschl of Huber Heights, OH. and David A. (Lisa) Shields of San Antonio, TX. She has also been blessed with eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Also surviving her is her brother Wm. Ronald Conrad of Connersville, IN; and sister-in-law, Mary Conrad of Rockmart, GA.

She was preceded in death by her brother David W. Conrad of Rockmart, GA; and daughter-in-law, Teri Shields of Mason, OH.

A graveside service at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, OH is pending at this time. Please check back for further details.
