Wanda Faye Tilton April 12, 1943 - November 12, 2024 HIGHLANDS, TX - Wanda Faye Tilton, 81, of Highlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024. Born on April 12, 1943, she lived a life filled with love, joy, and service to her community. She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner and best friend, Thomas Fabian, whose memory she cherished until her final days. Wanda leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her sons Jerry Tilton and Terry Tilton (wife Pennie); her beloved grandchildren Ashley (partner Phillip), Brent (wife Misty), Melody, Matthew, and Wesley (wife Robin); and her precious great-grandchildren Brooks, Sophie-Mae, and Charlotte Luna. She is also survived by her siblings: Jim Harbor (wife Sherry), Opal McRae, Darrell Saxton (wife Wanda), Tina Grabill (husband John), and Rhonda Wyatt; numerous cherished nieces and nephews; her loving companion Bob; and her devoted best friends Shirley, Sheila, and Sue, who shared countless memories with her through the years. Wanda was a vibrant member of the Highlands community, where she was known for her elegance and fun-loving spirit. She was an active member of the local dance club, bringing joy and laughter to every gathering. Her dedication to the Highlands Community Center touched many lives, and her involvement with FFA projects and 4-H demonstrated her commitment to supporting youth and agriculture in the community. Those who knew Wanda will remember her as an elegant soul who could light up any room she entered. Her zest for life and ability to make everyone feel special will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
