Funeral services to celebrate the life of Wanda Gail Williams, 76, of Ohatchee will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Rev. Tommy Hays and Rev. Richard Sego will be officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 4-6 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Monday. Per Gail's wishes, cremation will follow the service.

Preceding Gail in death are her parents, Curtis Lee Smith and Mary Ruth Roberts Smith; two sisters, Rhonda Carroll and Petie Stewart; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Mackey; and two nephews, Joey Mackey and Chris Carroll.

Those left to cherish the memory of Gail are her husband of 57 years, Edward Wayne Williams; her daughter, Tara Williams Clements (Brian); her granddaughter, Shana Sims (Austin); her grandson, Hunter Clements (Danielle); her great-grandson, Troy Wayne Sims; four sisters, Carolyn Mackey, Janie Matson (Tim), Jodie Roberts (Lee), and Linda Mount (Al); brothers-in-law, Rick Carroll and Gary Stewart; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Carroll, Jacob Carroll, Riley Carroll, Pete Mackey, Shawn Matson, Jason Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Curt Mount, Corey Mount, Brian Clements, Austin Sims, and Hunter Clements.

Gail was a wonderful Christian example to everyone she met. She had a servant's heart and loved helping others. Gail was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church where she and her husband, Wayne, have attended for over 20 years. She loved being a part of the Encouragers Sunday School Class where she served as the class Treasurer. Gail was dedicated to caring for her family and was a hard-working woman. She retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Oxford after 28 years and after retirement went back to work for Midtown Outlet until they closed and then went on to work for Trantham Farms. Throughout her working career, Gail specialized in bookkeeping, which she did thoroughly and efficiently. Gail was an amazing cook and when asked what some of her "best dishes" were, her family would tell you that everything she made was the best! She was not only talented in the kitchen, but Gail also had two green-thumbs and loved tending to flowers, especially her Thanksgiving and Christmas cactuses. To know Gail was to love her and she will forever be remembered for her generosity, kind heart, and sincere love she gave to all who knew her.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Gail's memory to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org or to Hill Crest Baptist Church (c/o The Encourager's Sunday School Class), 5117 Post Oak Road, Anniston, AL 36206.
