Wanda Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 13, 2025.
Wanda Dorene Wilson, 64 of Bolckow, MO passed away Tuesday November 11, 2025, at her home in Bolckow. She was born December 19,1960 in Saint Joseph, MO to Albert Lee & Thelma Maxine (Noble) Wilson. She was a graduate of North Andrew High School in 1979. She was valedictorian and reminded her sons of that achievement often.

Wanda loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She often cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys as well in honor of her late son, Brett. The house was never quiet on gamedays while Wanda was watching. She watched Judge Judy religiously and shared the same no-nonsense attitude. She loved to sit outside and watch the birds and butterflies with her grandchildren. Wanda cherished her grandkids and enjoyed watching them.

Survivors include her sons, Shawn Steeby of St. Joseph, MO and Brandon (Ashley) Wilson of Rosendale, MO; siblings, Roger (Ann) Wilson of St. Joseph and Donna Smith of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Ashlee Steeby, Rachael Steeby, Joshua Steeby, Bradynn Wilson, Landen Wilson, and Logan Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Brett and her brother Ralph.

Visitation and family receiving hours will be 1:00pm-2:00pm Friday November 14, 2025, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday November 14, 2025, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bolckow Cemetery in Bolckow, MO.
